This work, dated 1966 on the back, was presented to Gaston Diehl as a gift and dedicated to him in 1977. Appointed director of the Institut Franco-Vénézuélien and cultural attaché in Caracas in 1950, Gaston Diehl helped artists such as Jesùs-Rafael Soto, Carlos Cruz-Diez and Oswaldo Vigas gain artistic recognition in Europe. He published a monograph on Vigas in 1993.
