A very fine, fresh proof on white vellum, signed in pencil. Full margins. The original drawing (watercolor and India ink), dated 1959, from the Gérard Oury collection, was sold at Artcurial on April 21, 2009. Our engraving is derived from it, and was probably produced for the following work: Dufy (Raoul) et Oury (Marcelle). Lettre à mon peintre - Raoul Dufy. Paris, Librairie académique Perrin and Imprimerie Nationale, 1965. This is an intaglio engraving and not a lithograph, as commonly and erroneously stated.
