Jean-Pierre Claris de FLORIAN (1755-1794). Autograph manuscr - Lot 91
Jean-Pierre Claris de FLORIAN (1755-1794). Autograph manuscript; 2pages in-fol.
Draft overloaded with erasures and corrections, for his pastoral novel Estelle (1788). Florian has written his text in brown ink on the right-hand side of the page; a long passage crossed out is rewritten in the left-hand margin.
"This tender lover, no less astonished, no less delighted to find Isidore, hastens to reassure him, embracing him with transport. The shepherd, drunk with happiness, indulges in it without being able to understand it"... Etc.
