Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) Portrait of Cézanne by himself. 1898. Lithograph. [485x635]. Venturi 1158; Cherpin 8; Johnson 24. Very fine proof printed in black on white laid paper watermarked "mbm". Some rust spots inherent to the paper. Slight rippling (normal) due to printing pressure. Broken folds along lower edge of leaf and short tear. Full margins. A. Vollard ed. (pl. envisaged for an unpublished album of prints). Ex-coll. H.M.Petiet (Lugt 5031).
