Émile ZOLA. L.A.S., Médan November 20, 1880, to Henri Chabri - Lot 240
Émile ZOLA. L.A.S., Médan November 20, 1880, to Henri Chabrillat; 2pages in-8 (mourning).
To the director of the Ambigu-Comique, about Nana (premiered January 29, 1881).
"I understand your reasons for deciding to play Rose Michel [by Ernest Blum]. Just remember that our treaty states that you must play Nana after D'Ennery's play. I'm not telling you this to bother you about your business. I simply want it understood that Nana, whatever may happen, will run from January 15 to 20. I'll be in Paris in the first few days of December, and I'll be waiting for you to summon me, when we resume rehearsals for Nana in earnest"...
