Brick morocco, framed by a listel of burgundy morocco edged with two gilded fillets, lobed at the upper corners and at the center of the lower side, decorated with stylized leaves in havana morocco and stylized flowers in gilded and lemon morocco, ribbed spine decorated in the same spirit, brick morocco framing inside, decorated with three gilded fillets and a gilded iron at the corners, brocaded silk lining and endpapers, double endpapers, gilded head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, case (René Kieffer). First illustrated edition, printed in an edition of 130 numbered copies on Arches vellum. It is decorated with 19 compositions by Bayonne painter Henri-Achille ZO (1873-1933) engraved in color by Eugène Decisy, including one on the title, 14 in the text and 4 hors texte. One of 98 copies reserved for Members of the Society, this one specially printed for the pharmacist and bibliophile Léon Comar (1863-1932), bearing number 74. A very fine copy in a mosaic binding by René Kieffer, decorated in the Art Nouveau style. Soiling on pages 29 to 32. Provenance: Léon Comar.
