Kindjal dagger, Iran qâjâr, 19th century Straight, double-edged steel blade with central edge, the heel inlaid with a gold mantling inscribing the date 1121 H / 1709. Gendarme-cap handle trimmed with walrus ivory plates, each carved with animal and bird combat framing cartouches decorated with figures. Small turquoise cabochons enhance the overall effect. Length: 37 cm; gross weight: 224 g Traces of rust on the blade, one cabochon missing.
