Talwar sword, India, late 19th century Saber with curved steel blade and handle with two strong quillons and discoidal steel tip inlaid with gold floral decoration. Later wooden scabbard sheathed in green velvet and wire braid, with ends trimmed with gilded copper plates engraved with scales, a suspension ring attached to one side. Total length: 89 cm; length without scabbard: 87 cm A few scratches and chips of gilding, slight wear, scabbard and blade probably later.
