Leonetto CAPPIELLO (1875-1942) - Lot 18
Leonetto CAPPIELLO (1875-1942) Flower your windows, 1921 Mixed media. Mounted on canvas. (Cracked face, consolidated tears). Dated lower left. 154.5 x 111.5 cm Bibliography : Rennert, p. 217, no. 337. This commission for a florist could only delight Cappiello: he composed one of his best decorative posters, literally immersing a young girl in ecstasy amidst a cascade of multicolored flowers. A little gem.
