In 1900, Cappiello designed one of his first posters for Cachous Lajaunie (Rennert, p. 43, no. 6); it's one of his elegant naughty girls who, as she smokes, shows us the box of cachous that purify her breath. Twenty-eight years later, he produced a new poster. Times had changed: the young smoker had short hair and wore a highly original dress made of yellow, ochre and brown strips - Paco Rabanne before its time! The poster was a great success and was printed in several editions.
