Apart from two 1906 posters from the time of the automobile pioneers (Brazier and Charron - Rennert, p. 91, no. 100 and p. 90, no. 99), Cappiello did little work in this field. Unlike René Vincent, for example, who adored them, he was reluctant to depict the automobile: in 1925, for Peugeot, he favored the lion (Rennert, p. 261, no. 417); for Studebaker in the same year, he depicted the admirers rather than the machine (Rennert, p. 260, no. 416)! In 1922, for Berliet, it's a charming person in chains that takes up more space than the drawing of the small car (Rennert, p. 229, n° 358)! Our model, dating from the same year, seems to represent the same vehicle: here too, it's the graceful dragonfly woman that catches the eye more than the machine. This beautiful project does not appear to have been published.
