Hans Vredeman de Vries (1527-1609) (after) Architectural subjects in perspective; Architectures in ovals. Circa 1560-1562. Etching by the van Doetecum brothers. An in-4 [245 x 350] string-bound composite album containing an engraved title (Variae Architecturae Formae, with tears) and 47 plates of various suites. New Hollstein (Van Doetecum) 184-203 and 255-282. Proofs on thin laid paper from an edition of 1601, lined on strong laid paper, trimmed with the plate cut and pasted on the album leaves. Freckling, soiling, stains and various minor accidents.
