Mary Cassatt (American, 1844-1926) Tea. Circa 1890. Drypoint. 153 x 178. Breeskin 133. Very fine proof on thin ivory watermarked laid paper (Britannia, near Churchill 231), unsigned. Annotation "A" in the hand of H. M. Petiet in pencil in the lower left-hand corner of the sheet. Small ripples due to printing pressure. Short oblique tear at right edge. All margins untrimmed. Provenance: Ambroise Vollard (1866-1939) then H. M. Petiet (1894-1980).
