"L'Histoire de la vie privée des français" and "Recueil curieux de pièces originales" by Paul Lacroix, form volumes 9 and 10 respectively. The illustrations include 640 plates, the vast majority of them of costumes. Copy in contemporary binding, with most plates in black, unframed and unsigned. Volume 8 is addressed to Ch. de La Motte and bears the date 1860. Used rubbing. Head cover of fourth volume missing. Faded leaves.
