Paris : A. Quentin, 1882-1883. -2 works in 2 volumes, in-8, Bradel-style brown half-maroquin with corners, gilded fillets, ornate smooth spine, untrimmed, covers and spine preserved (E. Carayon).
First editions of these two works designed to retrace the history of the main accessories of women's toilette, each illustrated with numerous compositions by Paul Avril.
Copies on strong vellum paper, complete with the covers printed on silk for the slipcase, with their red ribbons, as well as those of the books, printed on japon.
Very fine copies bound by Carayon, very well preserved.
