Paris : François Bernouard, [1927]. -2 volumes in-8, havane morocco, large vertical band decorated with gilded lozenges at center of covers, ornate smooth spine, gilded bold fillet and three gilded squares at corners inside, gilded head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, case (René Kieffer). Edition of 5325 plus passe copies, remarkably printed by the typographer François Bernouard. Part of the "Collection des Œuvres complètes" by Émile Zola. UNIQUE EDITION, one of 225 on Vergé de Rives, ENRICHED WITH 80 ORIGINAL DRAWINGS BY THE PAINTER ÉMILIEN DUFOUR (1894-1975). These drawings, all out-of-text, have been bound into the two volumes in sets of 4. The first of the 4 is the finished drawing, in watercolor and gouache, signed, the other 3 represent studies in black for the most part. A very fine, well-preserved copy bound by René Kieffer.
