Lilac morocco, rolls of cold dots joined at the corners by a framing gilt fleuron and gilt and mosaic plaque depicting an oriental decoration in the center on the boards, ornate ribbed spine, gilt roll and iron inside, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, case (René Kieffer). Edition of 500 copies, illustrated with 22 original etchings by the painter and illustrator Gio COLUCCI (1892-1974), including one on the title and 21 hors texte (the title announces 20). ONE OF 20 FIRST COPIES ON IMPERIAL JAPON, including three states of the etchings, this one numbered 1. A very fine copy bound by René Kieffer. Spine faded.
