Jean HUGO (1894-1984). 2 L.A.S., Mas de Fourques March-May 1 - Lot 11
Jean HUGO (1894-1984). 2 L.A.S., Mas de Fourques March-May 1939, to Maurice Sachs; 1page in-4 addressed to him. March 5, 1939. He is touched by his article. "My paintings are now a little larger, but the figures are still Liliputian. I'll probably exhibit them this autumn"... - May 7. He is sorry to have "indirectly brought him trouble. Naturally I have nothing to do with this lawsuit which I have only just learned about and which I would like to settle"... Attached is a L.S. from Louis Jouvet to Sachs, May 27, 1937, about Sachs's play Le Passage du Saint Bernard.
