Francis CARCO. Autograph manuscript signed, Preface; 2pages - Lot 85
Francis CARCO. Autograph manuscript signed, Preface; 2pages in-8 (slits). Preface for an exhibition by painter Marcel Coucy (1885-1964). "From the time he lived in Montmartre, where he was destined to become a painter, the young Coucy, like so many others, discovered Cubism [...] Today Coucy lives in Gargilesse, in the Indre region, far from the Butte, the schools and the blarney. [...] He is a great artist who bravely plays the game and has never cheated. Attached is a l.s. from Roland Dorgelès to Coucy, January 19, 1957.
