ENGLAND 18th century Truncated cone-shaped case in blood jasper covered with gold mesh (18 kt), hinged by a side push-button. It is chased in low relief on the upper sides with a dog and a doe, and on the lower sides with birds. Gross weight: 102g - height: 9.2cm - width: 4.2cm - Condition: a small accident to the fishnet An identical model is in the Louvre collections: Inv. R. 482. Salomon de Rothschild bequest 1922. Deposited at the Hôtel Rothschild, rue Berryer, then at the Louvre.
