Miles Davis 1926:
The Miles Davis Special Edition celebrates the musician's influence on jazz and its evolution, through the graphic elements adorning the fountain pen, which symbolize the 5 major periods of jazz: Bebop, Cool Jazz, Hard Bop, Modal Jazz and Jazz Fusion.
In homage to the cool sound of his trumpet, the clip imitates the shape of a three-piston trumpet. The decorative spiral symbolizes the tornado he experienced as a child, which he saw as the spiritual source of the wind he needed to play.
Montblanc star on the top of the cap in white agate and onyx. Right from the start of his career, he opted for a mouthpiece that enabled him to achieve this quality: the Heim mouthpiece. Like the Heim mouthpiece, the fountain pen's tip curves inwards.
The metallic blue of the cone, a reference to the famous Miles Davis Kind of blue album, contrasts with the platinum-finish metal.
Number 910 out of 1926.
In 2006, Miles Davis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum: a museum, but also an institution, that preserves and archives the most significant moments of rock's greatest and most influential artists, be they singers, musicians, producers, or anyone else who has had a notable influence on the rock industry. Located in Cleveland, Ohio, it was designed by architect Ieoh Ming Pei. The number "2006" is engraved on the body of the pen, alongside a diamond-embellished star.
Fitted with a two-tone 18-carat gold nib featuring the musician's iconic silhouette. Piston filling system.
In its box with its papers and over-box and white protection.
