The Beatles 1969:
Montblanc dedicates the Great Characters The Beatles 1969 Limited Edition to the four musicians from Liverpool (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr), who in just a few years became the most influential rock band of the 20th century.
Limited edition of 1969 (number 369).
The Beatles were among the first to recognize the incredible musical possibilities offered by new recording technologies.
On June 1, 1967, they released Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, a psychedelic pop album now considered one of the first concept albums. This artistic gamble paid off, winning them four Grammy Awards.
The brightly colored cover shows the Beatles sporting mustaches and whimsical, brightly colored uniforms.
The four mustaches on the ruthenium clip pay nostalgic tribute to the inimitable style of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
The end of the fountain pen's body recalls the shape of the buttons on a mixing console, The Beatles having chosen Abbey Road Studios to record numerous singles and albums, thus having access to the modern equipment needed to give free rein to their experimentation.
The cap's clean lines are inspired by the tubular microphones used in recording at the time. Abbey Road was the last album recorded by the Beatles, and the band decided to end on a high note. 1969 was the year of recording, and is also the number of copies of this limited edition.
The cap features a reproduction of the world's most famous crosswalk, as well as the white Beetle, also featured on the album cover. The legible license plate, LMW28IF, is featured on the fountain pen cap, as are the signatures of the 4 musicians. The number 12 appears in the background of the fountain pen body, with grey numbers to mark the release of the 12th Abbey Road album.
Not forgetting the UK crown, beautifully marked on the fountain pen body.
White and colored lacquered metal edition, screw cap and ruthenium-plated attributes.
18-carat gold, ruthenium-plated nib engraved with the famous Apple logo (from Apple Corps Ltd), used on so many legendary vinyl records. Piston filling.
Unboxed, but still sealed in its plastic case.
