Beautiful photographs taken by Bertall in Brussels in 1867.
Hugo wrote under his photograph of him standing with his right hand resting on the back of an armchair: "Asking Louis Bonaparte what he thinks of Napoleon le Petit".
Under the other photograph, showing him seated in the armchair, holding a book in his right hand, he wrote: "Regardant entrer le coup d'état".
