Pierre LOUŸS. Autograph manuscript, Tristan played from memory by Debussy; 1page oblong small in-4. Souvenir of Claude Debussy, who accepted a bet to play "by heart" the three acts of Wagner's Tristan, for "one hundred francs: an enormous sum for the young musician"; this was "between 1886 and 1891". Another manuscript is attached, a souvenir of an 1890 lunch at Jules Maciet's, with painters and curators from the Louvre, where a young girl wanted to explain the orders of architecture (2p. same paper).
