Henri GRÉGOIRE (1750-1831). L.S. with 13 autograph lines, Paris October 27 [1793], to Charles Grandjean, officer in the 105th Regiment, Besançon; 1page in-4, address with Convention Nale postmark. He proposes to his friend that he send the Military Committee a brief on the motion he wishes to present to the Convention... The long autograph postscript concerns Prince Charles of Hesse: "The diplomatic committee is in charge of Charles Hesse's case; he is all the more worthy of attention because he has trampled prejudice underfoot and left his country to come to France to fight under the flags of liberty. It will probably be Reubell who will report on his case"....
