SUZANNE LALIQUE-HAVILAND (1892-1989) (SET DESIGNER) & MANUFACTURE NATIONALE DE SÈVRES Badiane, realized in 1923 Very large tapered baluster vase. Proof in porcelain (new hard paste); the title decoration in high vertical polychrome reserves on a white ground. The base has a large original recess, probably to allow it to be pedestaled or mounted as a lamp. The decoration was executed by Maurice-Modeste Herbillon (1888-1955). A very slight chip around the base. Marked H.M. d'après Mme Suzanne LALIQUE-HAVILAND towards the base, bears the manufacture's date stamp S - 1923 - DN and the stamp Décoré à SÈVRES - 1923 - RF Manufacture Nationale as well as an old (incomplete) label inside the neck.
