Pierre BONNARD (1867-1947) La Revue blanche, 1894 Chromolithography. Imp. Edw. Ancourt, Paris. Signed and dated center left. Framed. 79 x 61 cm Bibliography : - Les Maîtres de l'affiche, p. 38. - L'Affichomanie, n° 109. "In the foreground, there's a woman wearing a huge hat and a mantelet over her shoulders, partially hiding her face, while a street urchin points at her. The background is made up of countless advertisements for the magazine. A man in a silk top hat reads them attentively with his back to the viewer. This work by Bonnard is a piece that every collector wants to own. (Charles Hiatt, Picture posters, 1895, p. 123).
