BENIGNI (Léon). Original color drawing. [1920s]. - One Italian-style plate, 174 x 344, ink and watercolor. Original signed drawing, watercolored in color, depicting a floating float from the Venice carnival. It is signed in ink and accompanied by notes in graphite, including "à graver 2 fois, 1 fois suivant aspect, 1 fois retourné". Graphic artist Léon Benigni (1892-1948) specialized in fashion design. He is famous for his depictions of haute couture models. He also illustrated several works of literature.
