Cavalry officer's pistol, type 1816. Round barrel with thunder-flat, hallmarked. Rounded breech. Flat-body lock. Brass bail. Round-bodied hammer. Brass fittings. Barrel, lock and stock stamped "G". Punch-marked walnut frame with short shaft. Oval pommel with bead. Iron ramrod. A.B.E. circa 1820-1830.
