The Infanta Marguerite. Before 1879. Etching and roulette after Velázquez. 200 x 278. Bertin 523. Fine proof on ivory laid paper, with the Golden Fleece coin in remark, stamped in gilt bronze (Lugt 1157) at the bottom of the subject, signed in pencil and annotated "Epreuve à la toison d'or". Light foxing and light dusting. Full margins. Very rare, even unique according to Cl. Bertin: "printed by the author at very low prices; a deteriorated proof wrapped around the copper, the only one known of this 4th state".
