First edition of this collection of six poems by Raymond Queneau, illustrated with 16 original etchings by Mario PRASSINOS (1916-1985), including one on the cover and 15 hors-texte. Edition of 250 numbered copies. One of 215 on vélin pur chiffon de Lana paper containing a first state suite of the fifteen etchings (no. 147). Enriched copy with this autograph dedication signed by the artist to the Clergue couple, in green, pink and black felt-tip pens, written around three skulls drawn in black: For YoYo La Belle // & // Lucien le Lion // their friend // Prassinos // 1973 A fine copy, very well preserved. The 15 etchings in this edition are printed on laid paper, the suite in its first state on Lana vellum. Marginal wear to the slipcase.
