Jean COCTEAU (1889-1963) Autograph manuscript signed, 1962; 1page in-4 on Santo-Sospir letterhead. Beautiful text on bullfighting. "The death of the bull, when the iron penetrates the nuptial ring, is that of the black ambassador of the white lady, once again frustrated by her mysterious nuptials with the man who wishes and dreads them. The funeral quadriga carries off this ambassador with his bouquet of banderillas, while the fiancé remains alone at the site of the sacrifice. This is why he mourns in a suit of satin and gold".
