Medical officer's tunic, second lieutenant of the Military Hospitals in national blue cloth. Double breasted with 7 gold star buttons marked "Hôpitaux Militaires". Crimson velvet-covered placket and collar (wear). Black sateen lining with green leather and coutil belts. Circa 1870-1880. A.B.E. (shoulder tabs changed, button missing, minor wear).
