Provenance and history:
OurTorsade table was acquired, along with the one presented under the following lot number, in the early 1970s during the renovation and modernization of the reception rooms for the headquarters of a European industrial group.
During the embellishment of the reception rooms, the acquisition was made with the intention of integrating these contemporary coffee tables by Diego Giacometti into a classical, majestic décor designed to welcome distinguished guests.
Fortunately, despite the reorganizations that naturally occur in the life of a large group, these twoTorsadef tables were jealously guarded within the company until today, when they were put up for auction.
