Height : 61 cm (66 cm with base).
Born in Lviv, Leopold Kretz studied at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts under the supervision of Xawery Dunikowski. In the early 1930s, he moved to Paris to continue his training at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, where he frequented Antoine Bourdelle's studio. His first solo exhibition in Paris took place in 1932 at Galerie Pierre. In 2008, his widow donated works to the Musée Despiau-Wlérick in Mont-de-Marsan.
