MICHEL MORTIER (1925-2015) DESIGNER & VERRE LUMIÈRE ÉDITEUR 10497, model designed in [1972]. Living-room lamp. The base in white-lacquered aluminum. Shade in opal glass. Early 1970s edition. The glass shade is not original. H.60cm Archives and related works: Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain, Saint-Étienne Métropole. Several studies and drawings of our lamp model, numbered E126, E128 and E128 bis respectively, are preserved in the collections of this institution as part of the Fonds Michel Mortier under the numbers Inv. 91.16.6 (36), Inv. 97.16.6 (31), Inv. 97.16.923 and Inv. 97.16.924. Public collections and related works: Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. A similar model, with buff lacquered base and erroneously titled Lampe [10576], is in the collections of this institution under inventory number 2013.53.2.
