Original edition of the first and most important painter's book by Henri Michaux (1899-1984), featuring twelve original lithographs, eleven full-page and one double-page out-of-text, as well as a lithographed cover by the author. This work is fundamental to Michaux's work, as it contains his very first lithographs, the only ones he produced directly on stone. In an edition of 297 copies; one of 276 on Johannot pur fil (no. 237). Example very well preserved, complete with hardback folder showing here some foxing. Without slipcase.
