MARSEILLE 1768-1775 - Lot 12
MARSEILLE 1768-1775 Baluster-shaped plain silver coffee pot. It stands on a pedestal edged with fillets. The lid is hinged with a doucine and ends in a toupie grip. The scrolled wooden handle is opposed by a plain spout below which is engraved a coat of arms topped by a comtal crown. Master goldsmith Paul Senez received in 1752. Gross weight: 716 g - H.: 22 cm The coat of arms on the Marseille pourer is that of the Fléchier family, one of whose bishops was a great and famous orator.
