[André FRAIGNEAU (1905-1991)]. 33 L.A.S. to him, 1957-1990.
Beautiful friendly, literary and intimate correspondence.
Michel BULTEAU. 6 L.A.S., written from Labessette, Pontacq and Cintra (Portugal), 1986-1990. He talks about his readings, the writing of his Club des longues moustaches, his Minuties and his essay on Baron Corvo; he evokes poetically his solitary stays in the countryside... Etc.
Jean-Louis CURTIS. 12 L.A.S., Paris 1957-1985. About a special issue of Cahiers des saisons, devoted to Jean Cocteau; his play Adélaïde; his literary projects; his support for the publication of Fraigneau's L'Âge tendre, the anguish of his appearance on Apostrophes... "When I'm overwhelmed by the disgust of writing and publishing at the same time as three hundred million of our contemporaries (and especially contemporaries), I'll be saved from this disgust by the thought that you, and a few friends, may read me"... Etc.
Jean-François JOSSELIN. 15 L.A.S., Constantine, Champigny-sur-Seine and Brest, 1960-1963. Long literary correspondence from the very beginning of his writing career, dating from the publication of his first novel, Don Juan sous la pluie (most of the letters are written from Algeria, while he was serving in the air force). He often talks about his reading, particularly the books of the Hussards (Déon, Nimier, Blondin, Haedens, etc.), but also "Drieu's admirable Feu Follet and Marceau's no less admirable Étouffe-chrétien"...
