BERNARD DEJONGHE (BORN 1942)
Born in 1942 and trained at the École des Métiers d'Art in Paris, Bernard Dejonghe has established himself as a versatile artist - exploring both ceramic shaping and glass fusion, as well as contemporary practices such as installations. His plastic research combines technical mastery and great sensitivity. In his quest for a perfect balance between simplified forms, rich textures and vivid, glassy glazes, he remains a major player in contemporary ceramics.
