ANDRÉE & MICHEL HIRLET (B. 1936) & (1936-2020) From the moment they met at the École des Métiers d'Art, Andrée and Michel Hirlet became a couple in life and in creation, collaborating on a demanding body of work that spanned more than sixty years. Their four-handed work is characterized by chamotte stoneware sculptures made of regularly interlocking, architectural elements. Together, they work on monumental creations as well as smaller pieces - all marked by their constant reflections on structure, volume and color.
