AGATHE LARPENT (BORN 1946) A leading figure in contemporary French ceramics, Agathe Larpent devotes her studio in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence to a profound exploration of materials - turning each of her creations into a veritable field of plastic experimentation. Her works seem to be in a state of metamorphosis; bold volumes, vibrant textures and colors give them a powerful, poetic presence, echoing the forms and colors of the mineral and plant worlds that inspire her.
