Our work reproduced on page 231. MICHEL LÉVÊQUE (1934-2019) Michel Lévêque discovered a predilection for ceramics during his training at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Bourges. In the 1960s, this passion led him to set up a stoneware workshop at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Limoges. A teacher in Limoges, then in Bourges, he also devoted himself to a personal production in which objects are treated in their sculptural dimension. His pieces are characterized by carefully studied, sober and harmonious volumes, sublimated by masterfully applied glazes.
