An indispensable bibliography on the French Revolution by Maurice Tourneux (1849-1917), including descriptions of 26,672 references. Complete set of 5 volumes in 5 volumes, composed as follows: Tome 1: Préliminaire - événements ; T2: Organisation et rôle politiques de Paris ; T3: Monuments, mœurs et institutions ; T4: Documents biographiques (Paris hors les murs - Additions et corrections) ; T5: Table générale des faits, des titres d'ouvrages, des noms d'hommes et de lieux, des matières, etc. Copy enriched with a touching hand-written letter signed by the author to his friend, the French poet Gaston Schéfer (1850-1921), on 3 false titles. A very fine, well-established set in half vellum for this monument to scholarship on the Revolution.
