Two koumiyya daggers, Morocco, 20th century - Lot 185
Two koumiyya daggers, Morocco, 20th century Curved, double-edged steel blade with gendarme-cap spindle and scabbard with octagonal, flowered side attachments and bud sting. The scabbard is entirely lined with silver and brass plates with embossed and engraved vegetal and geometric decoration, enhanced by colored enamels, niello motifs and two green plastic cabochons. Lateral attachments with suspension rings. The second, a blond horn spindle dagger with silver trim at the ends, the scabbard entirely silver-plated with engraved vegetal and geometric decoration. Ram head hallmark. Length with scabbard: 44.5 and 41 cm Slight accidents and missing parts, minor soldering on one.
