Navy or Marine infantry saber known as a lighter, model 1790. Copper-plated brass mounting, single-branch guard, stamped "Quentin" on the branch and the naval anchor on the quillon. Curved blade of the 1811 boarding saber type, flat-backed and engraved with "Mfture Imple du Klingenthal mars 1812", hollow-pointed and engraved with anchor (wear). Black leather scabbard with two unmarked brass fittings. Length: 83.5 cm A.B.E. Later scabbard.
