Sapper's saber.
Howling rooster head pommel handle (wear, shortened crest). Crosspiece with two dog-head quillons. Strong, flat-backed blade with remnant of Brescia signature, then saw-backed, then counter-edged.
Leather belt with two brass fittings.
Length 85.5 cm
E.M. Blade heavily pitted, later scabbard. First Empire period.
