Naval officer's saber, fancy model. Horn nipple (tiny chips). Brass mounting, single-branch hilt decorated with a demon's head, enlarging with anchors, rushes and oak leaves. Curved, heel-punched, flat-backed blade signed "Coulaux & Cie Klingenthal". Leather scabbard (accidents and repairs) with three brass fittings embossed with anchors, foliage and sea creatures. Length: 91 cm A.B.E. (lower quality tablecloth). Third Republic.
