GIDE (André). Corydon. New edition. Paris: Nouvelle Revue Française, [1924]. - In-16, paperback. Third edition, the second complete and first in bookstores, of this dialogical essay on pederasty. The first two editions appeared anonymously in 1911 and 1920, with print runs of only 12 and 20 copies respectively. It was only with this 1924 edition that the author decided to take responsibility for his work. One of 550 numbered copies on Van Gelder paper in a blue cover, one of 50 hors commerce. Enriched with a L.A.S. from Gide, November 8, 1924, 1 page in-12, concerning this copy. He informs his correspondent that he will bring him "with great pleasure" a "beautiful blue copy", since his "departure for the Congo has been postponed until June or July". He adds: "I haven't given Corydon to anyone. This is a replacement. Significant traces of adhesive on the last three leaves and on the letter.
