PARIS CIRCA MID-19th CENTURY Louis XVI-style silver-plated tea service composed of a coffee pot, a covered sugar bowl and a milk jug, engraved with interlaced letters in a pearled medallion. Goldsmith: Charles CHRISTOFLE Serial number: under the teapot: 41888, the sugar bowl: 38113 and the milk jug 41890. Identical model in the Musée du Louvre Collection under inventory number OA 12247, under the serial numbers for teapot 3747, sugar bowl 80138 and milk jug 31. This model was exhibited at the 1949 Exposition des Produits de l'Industrie, and at the 1851 Exposition Universelle.
